O National Service for Industrial Learning (SENAI) it is a profitable network of medium-level professional schools established and maintained by the Brazilian Confederation of Industry (an employer union). SENAI is one of the most important institutions in the country in formal training of skilled workers for industry, in the areas of chemistry, mechanics, construction, etc.
SENAI has 744 operational units in all states of the Union, which offer more than 1,800 courses.
SENAI is part of an integrated system of social action that was founded by industrial and political leaders in the 1950s, under the leadership of Euvaldo Lodi, which includes SESI (Social Services of Industry) and the Euvaldo Lodi Institute.
Social Services for Industry
The Social Service of Industry (SESI) is a private non-profit institution that operates throughout the country. It was created in July 1946 with the aim of promoting social welfare, cultural development and improving the lives of workers and their families and communities in which they live.
Departments Regional
SESI is present in all states of Brazil and in the Federal District of Brasília through a chain of regional departments, each with jurisdiction and technical, financial and administrative autonomy. Its function is to provide social services in the areas of health, education, leisure, culture, food and citizenship promotion, aiming at improving the quality of life of industrial workers and their families.
In addition to providing services in their centers of activities and operational units, the regional ones work within the industry and in line with the needs and expectations of the workers. Several projects also benefit the community through partnerships and agreements with international and national government and private institutions.
